The Tao of Feng Shui

  1. What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is the ancient art and science of environmental design. It addresses the relationship between people and their environments. Its roots come from the Chinese over 3500 years ago_ Feng Shui literally translated means wind and water. It is the process of how to detect and understand the inner energy of the land, the proper way to use the land, how to find a good site to build a house that will nourish the people, and developing a structural plan that will work best.

  2. What is the Feng Shui Form School?

The Feng Shui Form School emphasizes that form defines energy. The shape of a space, whether it is a large setting as a country, building or a house, will define the energy of that setting. This energy then affects the health, prosperity and relationships of the inhabitants in a positive or negative manner. By understanding the energy of a particular space, we can design an environment with harmony and balance.

  3. What is a wholesome Feng Shui form?

A wholesome Feng Shui form is any shape that represents balance and symmetry . An unbalanced form will manifest unbalanced energy patterns.

  4. What are the key features of a home?

There are four key features of a home; the landscape, main entrance, bedroom and kitchen. Each area should be balanced, have a smooth energy flow and have a good feeling.

  5. What are some problematic Feng Shui situations that affect a home?

Most problematic situations in a home involve poor locations and irregular shaped house plans that do not create a smooth floor plan.

  6. What are some benefits of Feng Shui?

When an environment is wholesome and balanced and supportive, it creates a sense of well being. The inhabitants will experience good health, prosperity and loving relationships. By applying Feng Shui principles, you maximize the best qualities of the home and minimize the Feng Shui challenges.
