Meiji Photographs (1868 - 1911)

Celebrating the first recorded photographic images of Old Japan, this exhibition captures the tranquility and spirit of the Meiji era.

Original images include scenes of the Imperial Court, portraits, landscapes, historical events, street scenes, pavilions, temples and other noteworthy photographs, each reflecting the heritage of Japan.

Works by Felice Beato, Baron Von Stillfried, Adolfo Fasari, Oqawa Isshin, and Kusakabe Kimbei will be highlighted.
